Seven out of ten Americans support extending the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to Puerto Rico, according to a survey conducted by the Siena College Research Institute, a possibility that is still under consideration by the U.S. Congress.
This data is the result of a survey of 1,000 U.S. residents over the age of 18, which showed that 71% favor extending the program’s benefits to Puerto Rico, while 29% were against it.
