  • Tompkins County Workers' Center on wage justice and workers rights

    On today's episode, we're joined by Pete Meyers, co-founder and president-director of the Tompkins County Workers' Center. Tompkins County Workers' Center advocates for, provides resources for and supports workers in the community with any issue they have related to employment. Pete Meyers has a long history of organizing and advocacy work and previously served as a Mentor in a Welfare-to-Work program.     Welcome to the inaugural episode of "Together with Feeding New York State," with hosts Ryan Healy and Alyssa Harrynanan of ⁠@feedingnys⁠. On today's episode, we're joined by Joanna Dorsey, Executive Director of Policy and Social Impact at Black Farmers United NYS. Black Farmers United NYS is a member-led organization of over 150 Black farmers, land stewards, and food justice advocates.
