This September is Hunger Action Month, and at Feeding New York State we’re raising awareness across New York State.

First, Freeville, NY Farmer Tyler Beck is changing his barn boots for running shoes this November, taking on 26.2 miles at the New York City marathon with one powerful goal: raising $26,200 ($1000 for every mile) to provide fresh milk to families in need across New York State. Tyler’s Miles for Milk campaign raises money for the American Dairy Association North East’s Fill a Glass with Hope charitable program in partnership with Feeding New York State. We are so proud to support Tyler as he supports our efforts to purchase fresh milk for families who might otherwise go without.

Second, our friends at the Fayetteville Fire Department are lighting up orange again this year.Know any fire departments that might want to join in the fun? Ask them if they’ll light up orange too and help us raise awareness and inspire action to end hunger in New York state and across America.

Third, everywhere the Feeding New York State team goes, we’ll be wearing orange in honor of Hunger Action Month and our commitment to ending hunger.

Finally, on Hunger Action Day, September 29th, 16 Landmarks across the state will be lighting up orange. Keep an eye out and share a picture with us on our socials! Landmarks lighting up Orange include:
