COVID-19 generated a food emergency on a scale not seen since the Great Depression. But with the support of our state’s governor, farmers, food processors, individual donors and volunteers, we were able to meet the challenge.
This summer, the amount of food distributed through New York’s food bank network increased 50%, providing proof that, if properly funded, in combination with federal income support programs, we could end hunger in New York State.
All we need now is the will!
