According to research from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), food insecurity rates have risen in each of the last two years. Food banks, food pantries, and community-based organizations have reported significant increases in demand at distributions across the state. Together, we call on New York State to provide adequate funding for HPNAP and Nourish New York, our statewide hunger relief programs.
